The Crew
The Kilda Cruises crew is made up of local Harris guys with a vast amount of experience of working on boats and a whole lot of love for the islands of the Outer Hebrides. We take great pride in delivering a professional and friendly service that allows passengers to relax and enjoy the trip of a lifetime.
Angus Campbell
- Owner/Skipper
Angus has lived in Harris his whole life and has fished for many years around the islands including many summers at St Kilda giving him great experience and knowledge of these waters. He noticed a demand for a fast day trip service to St Kilda and saw an opportunity to unite his love for the sea and local knowledge of the surrounding islands. Kilda Cruises was then established in 2005.
Angus is married to Christina who is an Art and Design teacher in the local secondary school and who is also very involved in the running of the business. They have three children Alexander, Alice and Archie.
Fachie Maclennan
- Skipper
David is the skipper of Hirta. This is his seventh season with Kilda Cruises, prior to which he was fishing for a year and a half on a crabbing boat . He has ventured as far as Rona with Kilda Cruises and also landed on Rockall so has had plenty experience on the sea.
David is a joiner to trade and in his spare time likes to go diving, playing football and dreams about being on 'The Deadliest Catch'.
Alexander Campbell
- Crewman
Malcolm (Malky) is Angus's nephew and works on board Hirta with David. He has had his fair share of boating experience having worked on fishing boats and spent some time sunning himself in Monaco working as a deckhand on a 24 metre motor yacht.
Now back in Harris, Malcolm likes to work out at the gym and also enjoys playing football from time to time.
